| Our Story |
|
32 years ago Kathy Moça never thought she would be wearing Brazilian jeans, much less traveling twice a year to Brazil to manufacture her own line of jeans. Kathy's story started in South Carolina where she met her husband, a Brazilian student studying at USC. After falling in love and getting married, she moved away from her family to Brazil , had a child, and then came home to South Carolina to help run her mother's dress shop. With over 20 years of retail experience she became interested in the wholesale side of the fashion industry. After
representing multiple apparel lines she decided to combine her love of Brazil with her love of fashion and began importing her own line of
jeans from Brazil. Portuguese for hummingbird, Beija-Flor literally means “kiss the flower”. Now Kathy and her daughter travel to Brazil discovering new designs and inspirations for their line of jeans. These Brazilian designer jeans are made to fit the natural curves of a woman's body for a modern yet feminine appeal. Just like the music and culture of Brazil, Beija-Flor means quality, personality, individuality, soul, energy, motion and a taste of the modern world. We invite you to experience the beauty of the “Beija-Flor”! Watch a video about how we got started. |
